چکیده

The Indian riverine system has become dumping site for toxic industrial pollutants. For assessing the flow of pollutants at various trophic levels, it is primarily important to do elemental profiling first so as detect their load in Sirsa tributary river Sutlej flowing through foothills Shivalik Himachal Pradesh, around hub Baddi, Solan. study area includes three observation sites (S1, S2, and S3) on drainage Baddi units; Effluent Nallah demarcated figure1. Heavy metal concentrations water samples were detected using inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy elements (Ti, V, Cr, Co, Ni, As, Li, Cd, Cs, Pt, Pb, Hg) these found be very common effluents chemical, cement, textile dyeing, electronics pharmaceutical industries. Statistical analysis showed that (ppb) within permissible limits WHO under seven metals (Hg, Ti, Pt) but was higher five heavy (Cr, Cd) S2 only, streamlined order Cr >Ni > Pb> As >Cd >Hg >Li >Ti >V >Co Cs Pt. It may due improper installation effluent treatment plant (CETP) bank or leakage by tanker carrying waste from set ups units not directly linked CETP. These committed act ultimate gutter receive all types part mismanagement. Arsenic Lead increasing lotic region its impact aquatic ecosystem level can explored combat toxicant pollution.
